What tasks do the committees and functionaries fulfil?

The Department Council makes decisions regarding departmental matters, unless they fall within the area of responsibility of the dean. In particular, these include the department regulations and the other regulations required for the department (e.g. examination regulations). The department council also elects the dean and vice-dean or the deanery.

The Senate is primarily responsible for general, abstract regulations (e.g. university regulations), recommendations and statements that relate to the university as a whole or to key facilities of the University.

The Equal Opportunities Committee advises and supports the University and the equal opportunities officers. It monitors the creation and maintenance of women’s support plans and elects the equal opportunities officer.

The Representative of the Interests of Student Assistants monitors the observance of the applicable legislation during the selection and employment of student assistants and acts to promote appropriate working conditions for them. They respond to complaints submitted by those affected.
