PhD students received scholarships
On February 3th, 2014 eight PhD students received a scholarship certificate. The scholarships are granted by the Equality Body, the departments, the Graduate Institute and the Institute for Visual Computing of BRSU.
In his welcome speech the Vice-President, Prof. Dr. Volker Sommer, pointed the increasing research strength of our university out and noticed that our graduates of Master´s degree consider more and more a doctoral program as additional scientific qualification.
The Graduate Institute Director, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Rainer Herpers, stressed the diversity and the highly practical orientation of the presented projects. Furthermore the projects show the successful cooperation between our university and the domestic Siegen University and the foreign Brunel University. There are three scholarship holders, who cooperate with the Siegen University, and two scholarship holders, who work closely with the Brunel University.
