How can I access the central university services?

First go to MIA to start the self-registration. This step is obligatory to get your login data for central university services.

Important: Self-registration on MIA is initially only valid for new students enrolled from winter semester 2020/21 onwards!

During the self-registration process you will be asked to assign a password for the access of your university email address. You will receive your login ID (the so-called department code, e.g. mmuste1s) which enables you to log in to most university services.

After self-registration you have access to the following services:

  • E-Mail Outlook Web App (OWA)
Access: department code + self-assigned password
Description and function: central mail server for students (except for students of the Department of Computer Science).
Information for students of Computer Science: You will reach your email account
via Horde and receive access after you have applied for activation. You have received the necessary activation code with your matriculation documents.
