EADI Prize for Development Studies 2010

Tuesday 26 January 2010

The European Association of Development Research and Training Institutes (EADI) announces the 2010 prize for excellence in development research.

The prize, worth 1000 Euro, will be awarded for an essay on an issue of development studies in any field of the social sciences submitted and written by a postgraduate student from an EADI member country or attending a programme at an institutional member of the Association. Articles may be submitted in English or French.

EADI accept entries from people who have separated from an EADI institute or country up to three years after the event. Papers which have been published before will not be accepted. Subjects may be chosen from any field of development studies, but contestants are asked to bear in mind that their work will be subject to scrutiny by one of the EADI Working Groups prior to being sent on to the jury. Entries coherent with Working Group themes will, therefore, clearly enjoy an advantage. A list of the Working Groups can be found on the Association's website.

All entries for the EADI Prize for Development Studies should reach the Association's offices in Bonn no later than 30 April 2010 by e-mail (prize2010@eadi.org).

The Jury for the 2010 EADI Prize for Development Studies will make its decision known in October 2010.
