The partnership between the Bonn-Rhine-Sieg University of Applied Sciences and the University of Cape Coast, Ghana, finds its first obvious expression in the establishment of an International Joint Office.
Representatives from our University visited the University of Cape Coast in Ghana in November 2009, and in May 2010, the partnership agreement was signed during the return visit of the delegation from Ghana - with the result that the first projects are now being tackled on the basis of the Master's degree programme in NGO Management, which is offered on both campuses. To provide the guests with a contact point at our University, it was agreed to establish a Joint Office.
The plan to cooperate will include a package of measures, such as the exchange of students and lecturers, summer schools, joint conferences, research and doctoral projects as well as alumni networks. As of the current winter semester 2010/11, the first student from Cape Coast University has enrolled for the degree course in NGO Management at the Department of Business Administration on the Rheinbach campus. The Joint Office serves as a contact point for joint activities and guests. A similar office will be established at the partner university in Ghana.
