Your first semester at H-BRS

Welcome to our university, dear freshers! We want to give you some information to make starting out with university life easier for you. Please keep yourself informed about the current situation concerning the coronavirus. In the winter semester 2021/22, the university will again offer more face-to-face courses - the 3-G principle applies for access. The FAQ answers questions about topics such as study guidance, financial assistance, scholarships and exams.

It is important to attend the welcome events of the departments. There will be a virtual, central welcome to open the academic year this winter semester, to which all students are cordially invited. To kick off the lecture period, a new film will be released - the University Guide. It will provide you with interesting information about the university.

E-mail, SIS, LEA and WLAN
After self-registration via the portal MIA, new students get access to the central e-mail server for students and receive their department code to log on to the student information system SIS and the e-learning system LEA.

The page "Student Bodies" and the section "Student Life" on the main page offer information by students for students. The Studierendenwerk not only offers accommodation but also runs the dining halls and cafeterias in Rheinbach and Sankt Augustin. The student card serves as a ticket in the VRS area, library card and chip card for the refectories and for the use of photocopiers.
