Legislation in Section 167  of book nine of the German social code (SGB IX) covering preventative mechanisms transfers some of the responsibility for the health of employees. For this reason, the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences (H-BRS) has decided to appoint a specific member of staff in charge of workplace integration management  (German).
The officer works closely with the workplace integration management team at H-BRS and is the principal point of contact for standard individual case management with regard to workplace integration. Individual case management responds to the framework conditions for university operations and is based on the 2013 service agreement.
Regina Umbach took on this role on 1 August 2017 on a part-time basis.
