Internationality at the Department of Applied Sciences

Internationality is of major concern not only for the university in general but also for our department.

Students from all over the world are interested in our study programmes - for good reasons. Apart from the advantages with regards to organization and content of the programmes and the excellent equipment of the laboratories they profit from an open minded and multicultural atmosphere, an active language centre, cultural offers and support by student tutors.

Two degree courses, the Bachelor in Applied Biology and the Master in Biomedical Sciences, are completely taught in English, the Bachelor in Forensic Sciences is bilingual (German/English).

The Department of Applied Sciences is closely connected to partner universities in the whole world. Many exchange programmes enable our students to study abroad for one or two semesters and in some cases offer an additional degree from the according partner university. In terms of preparation and organisation of their stay abroad our students receive extensive support. We are also pleased to welcome exchange students from our partners, so-called Incomings, who come here to study in return.
