Inter-Library Loan

Media that is not available in the University and District Library can be ordered via interlibrary loan.

Fees: € 1.50 per request per order (+ postage for the notification, if you have not given the library an email address).
Additional fees: apply e.g. if the copy is particularly extensive.
Payment: You will need a transaction number (TAN) for each order, available at the library.
Delivery time: approximately 10 working days
Delivery: Pick up at the library

Details about the order process

Books and sections from books

Search for the title you need (book title, author, ISBN, etc.)
Select the title you need and specify whether you want to order the whole book or just a section from it
Pay close attention to the delivery conditions and change them if necessary; please specify the pick-up location (Sankt Augustin or Rheinbach)
under payment method enter the TAN and "order
if the order is successfully accepted, please note the order number for possible inquiries
Notification by e-mail as soon as the order has arrived. Please check if the library has your current e-mail address and change it if necessary!

Journal article

Search by journal name (title, ISSN)
Select the required journal from hit list
Enter order data for the article in mask (fields marked with * must be filled in)
Specify delivery conditions: "Pick up at library": notification by e-mail
Specify pickup location (Sankt Augustin or Rheinbach)
Click on purpose
Under payment method enter the TAN and activate "order
