Motivation for term papers and theses at the “Longest Writing Day of the Year”
Eight workshops provided information on the topic of “academic writing”. For students who find it difficult to get started on an academic paper, the workshop on procrastination offered helpful tips. There was also an introduction to literature management with Zotero, tips for well-formatted texts, and advice on writing academic papers in English. There was great interest in the workshop “AI in the Writing Process: Using It Wisely and Evaluating It Critically.”
Between workshops, students could refuel with healthy snacks and drinks. During the breaks, there was a lively exchange between students and staff from the library and the Writing Centre.
Staff from the Writing Centre and the library were available throughout the day to offer consultations and provide guidance and support for more complex individual questions.
If you missed the “Longest Writing Day,” don’t worry. The “Shortest Writing Day of the Year” will take place again at the end of the year at the library on the Sankt Augustin campus.
If you have any questions in the meantime, the library's and the Writing Centre’s consultation is available throughout the semester.
