Administrative unit 1: Facility Management, Building and Safety
Disposal of non-hazardous waste
In order to recover secondary raw materials, Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg applies the principle of waste separation in accordance with the Circular Economy Act. The university does not incur any costs for the disposal of paper and recyclable materials. This is another reason why the strict separation of waste is economically sustainable!
In the offices there are only waste bins for waste paper. Furthermore,
collection bins for paper, recyclables, glass and residual waste are placed in the corridors, in the tea kitchens, lecture theatres and seminar rooms as well as in the foyers of the buildings.
There are also standard recycling and residual waste bins in the outdoor areas, courtyards and exit and entrance areas.
Paper is collected in the green bins, recyclables in the yellow bins, glass in the blue bins, organic waste in the brown bins and residual waste in the grey bins
The university campus is now a smoke-free zone. The smoking areas are marked. There are special ash bins there
Waste ABC of the university
No flammable materials, such as cardboard boxes, may be stored in the corridors. Please disassemble these and, if necessary, place them in the tea kitchens for small quantities. Packaging materials must be returned to the supplier. Take-back is clearly regulated in our purchase contracts.
Inventoried items can only be disposed of after a disposal order has been processed. You can find the segregation order in DIAS under Forms/Purchasing/Finance. Please submit the request to the Finance department
For some substances that do not fall into the above categories, there are special waste collection systems at the university:
