Services offered by the Student Advice Centre in case of study doubts

Studying doesn't always go the way you imagined it would. Doubts about your choice of degree programme, lack of motivation, pressure to perform or a stressful personal situation - all of these can be reasons for doubts about studying. This is completely normal and happens to many people. Here you will find an overview of our offers in the summer semester 2025.

Lecture series: Doubts about studying?

Experts from the General Student Counselling Service and guests provide insights into various topics relating to doubts about studying and dropping out. Participation is possible without registration and anonymously. The programme will be held in German. However, you can contact us at any time for a personal consultation in English.

Face-to-face counselling by the employment agency at the Sankt Augustin campus

Are you having doubts about your degree programme, would you like to (re)orientate yourself and find out about alternatives? Would you like to discuss career paths after your studies? The careers counselling service of the Federal Employment Agency provides open-ended advice. The counselling is independent, confidential and free of charge. Consultations can be done in English.
