We offer various event formats for general study orientation and the range of courses offered by Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg.
We are happy to participate in school events or refer enquiries to suitable offices within the university.

Visiting the campus

School classes can get to know the degree programmes at Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg and the Sankt Augustin and Rheinbach locations - the Student Advice Centre team will put together an individual programme for you. Even if you only want to visit a single degree programme, we will be happy to coordinate your visit.

Events at your school

We would be happy to take part in your training and orientation events and support you in the (further) development of formats on request.

Online formats

From recorded lectures or live Q&A sessions with minimal technical effort to interactive workshops and virtual campus visits, many things are possible. We also provide location- and time-independent formats as self-learning modules with innovative e-learning tools in which pupils can engage with the topic of study orientation independently and at their own pace

If you would like to use one of the offers, please contact us as early as possible - ideally at least two months before the desired date. We will of course endeavour to make your event possible, but cannot guarantee this, especially in the case of last-minute enquiries.

NRW state initiative

As part of the NRW state initiative "Kein Abschluss ohne Anschluss" (KAoA), the state universities support all pupils (SuS) in the upper secondary schools with general study orientation. The universities supervise the schools in their regions, organised by administrative district. Formats for the target group are developed in cooperation with other players in the field of study and career guidance. Together with the University of Bonn and RWTH Aachen University, H-BRS is available to schools in the city of Bonn and the districts of Rhein-Sieg and Euskirchen.

Study and career guidance in NRW

Assignment of the H-BRS programmes to the KAoA standard element SBO 9.2 "Study orientation" and the individual elements SBO 9.2.1-9.2.8

On the "Study Orientation NRW" website, you will find all offers for general study orientation and study programmes at Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg assigned to the KAoA standard elements in the event database. We will be happy to advise you on our programmes.

Further training for teachers

In addition to the numerous offers for pupils on study orientation, the public universities in NRW offer further training opportunities for coordinators for vocational orientation (StuBOs) and interested teachers at schools with upper secondary level. From the 2024/25 school year, the further education programmes will be restructured. We will announce the details here as soon as they are finalised. Further information can also be found on the website of the University of Cologne, which coordinates the joint qualification measures for teachers as the interface university.
