[Archive] Inclusion – Why do we need to talk about this?

Date

Friday, 08 October 2021

Time

12:30 - 14:00

Location

Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg, Sankt Augustin Campus, Grantham-Allee 20, 53757 Sankt Augustin,

To what extent do I myself think inclusively or non-inclusively? Why does inclusion matter at university and in education? And how am I, in particular, affected by inclusion in my private life and at university? Many people do not know what is meant by inclusion - and have no idea that inclusion may even be an issue for them. The fact that inclusion also plays a role at the university is the next important point - it is not only isolated students and university staff for whom inclusion plays a role - the presentation wants to show why inclusion cuts across all university departments.

As coordinator for Inclusive University, Katrin Maag from the central diversity management team at H-BRS will talk about the topic - together in exchange with university members and students. Interested parties are also cordially invited to listen to the lecture on the topic of Ableism by activist Luisa L'Audace. Impulses from this lecture will also be taken up in the current lecture on the topic of inclusion.
