09:30 - Lecture Hall 8 Opening of the Institute A2S
Institute Director Prof. Dr. Nico Hochgeschwender, H-BRS, opens the newly founded Institute for Artificial Intelligence and Autonomous Systems (A2S) in a ceremony together with Prof. Dr. Hartmut Ihne, President of the H-BRS, and Prof. Dr. Sascha Alda, Dean of the Department of Computer Science. In the future, A2S will bundle research, transfer and teaching at the H-BRS on the topics of AI and autonomous systems.
10:15 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. HS 8 / from 11:30 a.m. in room C153 - Prof. Dr. Paul Plöger says goodbye and begins retirement
Prof. Dr. Paul Plöger, H-BRS, gives insights and outlooks on the topic of autonomous systems. Plöger, who has helped establish and shape the Master Autonomous Systems degree programme in the Department of Computer Science since 2003, is retiring with his last lecture.
14:00 - Lecture Hall 8 Inaugural lecture by Prof. Dr. Sebastian Houben
Since September 2021, Dr Sebastian Houben has been Professor of Robot Vision and Machine Learning in the Department of Computer Science at the H-BRS and will dedicate his inaugural lecture to the topic of The Three Levels of Informed Robot Sensing.
15:00 Uhr - Room C025 Poster-Session
In a poster session, students from the Master Autonomous Systems programme will present their research topics. Interested parties are cordially invited to gain an overview of the diversity of research.
All lectures will be held in English.
