As a newly appointed professor of computer science, especially IT security management, Professor Dr Petra Haferkorn will explain in her inaugural lecture why it makes sense to see "IT security management" as a socio-technical system.

The inclusion of social systems in IT security not only has far-reaching practical consequences, but also raises the research question of what organisations need to consider in their communication from an information security perspective.
