AI and Gamification for Professional Development in SMEs
In his talk, “From Mandatory Training to Skills Development: Digital Learning for SMEs with AI and Gamification”, Hinkenjann used practical examples to demonstrate how artificial intelligence can tailor learning content to different levels of knowledge. Particularly when dealing with complex processes, interactive learning offers opportunities to build knowledge through firsthand experience.
Another focus was gamification: game elements can encourage learners to make decisions, experience their consequences and recognise their own progress. The aim is to promote active engagement with learning content and support skills development.
The talk also addressed the conditions for responsible use. Data protection, safe learning environments and the evaluation of actual learning outcomes are central considerations when designing digital learning opportunities.
Hosted by wibotex at the invitation of Barbara Herbst and Holger Häde from BVMW, the event provided an opportunity for exchange between academia and business practice.
