Citizen Science in Action: Exploring Insects Together
The aim of the project is clearly defined: Citizens are to be actively involved in the research and monitoring of insect populations in order to strengthen community science. Using innovative technologies, including state-of-the-art visualisation and 3D scanning methods, PInBiM not only creates a fascinating interaction between science and society, but also enables a nationally scalable proof-of-concept.
The financial support from the NRW Future Fund not only enables the realisation of a pioneering insect research project, but also establishes a sustainable link between the community, research and environmental protection. The positive impact on collaboration between the population and the scientific community makes PInBiM an exciting step into the future of insect research.
