Review: Halloween gaming event@H-BRS 2025
Whether it was a VR escape room, creative game experiments or multiplayer matches, the open format invited people to simply join in. Many came by curious and stayed longer than planned; others had made a note of the date to play together with friends, try out new games or simply enjoy the special Halloween atmosphere.
Throughout the evening, a lively mix of watching, participating, trying things out and exchanging ideas was created. Without much staging, the Game Studio and the Visual Computing Lab once again became places that filled up almost by themselves as soon as the controllers, VR goggles and monitors were ready.
In the end, it wasn't the high scores that counted, but the encounters: Conversations, new contacts and real networking. "And that's exactly why there will be a next time," says David Bernhard from the organisation team.
