This time, the children's university in the Rhein-Sieg district took place in the middle of spring at Rheinbach Campus in the Voreifel region. Professor Oskar Schnappauf and research associates Dr Nicole Strauß and Dagmar Kockler had set up four highly interactive stations for the young scientists, where origami, Lego bricks, microscopes and strawberries were used to bring genetics to life - with sweets provided for refreshment. It was an entertaining and enlightening tour de force for everyone involved, one that no-one will soon forget. Cosma the owl, mascot of the children's university, sometimes couldn't get enough of the action.
