University choir HörsaalEins invites you to an anniversary concert on Tuesday, 7 October
Not only Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences is celebrating an anniversary this year with its 30th anniversary, but also the university choir "HörsaalEins" - it is turning 20 years old. The choir was founded in 2005 by a group of staff, students and lecturers who enjoyed singing together. Since 2008, the choir has been directed by Dirk Eisenack.
To celebrate its 20th anniversary, the university choir invites you to an anniversary concert on 7 October 2025 in the Audimax/Hörsaal 1 on the Sankt Augustin campus. The choir will review its history in a musical way and present classics from the past 20 years. These include many well-known pop and rock songs such as "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen, "It's my life" by Bon Jovi and "Perfekte Welle" by Juli. The special thing about HörsaalEins' interpretations is that choirmaster Dirk Eisenack has written many of the arrangements himself. This includes the latest piece in the repertoire, John Lennon's hopeful ballad "Imagine".
Choir director Dirk Eisenack is well known to the people of Bonn through the "Bonner Jazzchor" and the vocal improvisation group "Bonner Improvisorium". Choir conducting and vocal improvisation are the focal points of his musical work. He is also a church musician specialising in choral conducting and organ.
The university choir HörsaalEins consists of around 25 singers who rehearse every Tuesday from 18:30-20:30 in the Audimax/Hörsaal 1 on the campus in Sankt Augustin. The "HörsaalEins e. V." association was founded a year ago to enable non-university members to sing together in the choir
