Masks no longer obligatory on outdoor grounds of H-BRS

Tuesday 15 June 2021

The obligation to wear masks on the outdoor grounds of the Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg has been lifted at short notice. This has been agreed upon by the President's Office.

The university had extended the mask requirement to the outdoor area last winter in view of the generally high Corona infection figures. It no longer applies there as of 16 June, as the situation has improved.

Inside the buildings, rented rooms and at face-to-face events, however, at least a medical mask (also surgical mask or medical mouth-nose protection, MNS) must still be worn. Instead of the medical mask, respirators with comparable or higher protection can also be worn, such as an FFP2 mask (Filtering Face Piece).
