Business trip to Japan: H-BRS strengthens international university cooperation
International stage for the ISEE project
As a featured speaker at the JALT conference, Eileen Küpper presented the Intercultural & Social Entrepreneurship Exchange (ISEE) project. The presentation on virtual international collaboration and a practice-oriented workshop were very well received: Both sessions were well attended, with numerous participants expressing interest in adapting the model. In addition to many specialist presentations, the conference offered a wide range of opportunities for exchange with experts from Japan, the USA, Europe and Asia.
Intensive exchange with potential partner universities
The trip also took Eileen Küpper to three universities that could become potential partners for H-BRS.
Toyo University (Tokyo) A guest lecture on future skills provided initial starting points for joint projects.
At Chuo University (Tokyo), the focus was on classroom visits and discussions with the International Office. The result: concrete interest in student exchanges and virtual project formats.
Shudo University (Hiroshima) hosted a well-attended guest lecture. Teachers and students engaged in discussions about interculturality, and initial ideas for a joint virtual exchange format emerged.
Networking expansion in Osaka
Eileen Küpper presented ten years of ISEE project history at the local JALT chapter in Osaka. Several universities in the Kansai region signalled their willingness to cooperate.
Conclusion
The business trip brought visible progress for the internationalisation of H-BRS: new contacts, concrete project ideas and a strengthened international profile for the ISEE project. Many of the discussions initiated will be continued in the coming months.
