Staff Mobility

Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg supports all staff members who are interested in a stay abroad for teaching, research or training purposes.

Funding via the Erasmus+ programme and internal funds allocated to international staff mobility allow us to fund a variety of mobilities, ranging from several days to a semester abroad.

Please contact the International Office for further information on staff mobility.

We also regularly welcome international academic and non-academic staff to our university for a stay within the framework of a guest lectureship, research project or training. The International Welcome Centre will be pleased to provide you with advice and assistance to make your stay on our campus as pleasant as possible for you.

Erasmus+ Staff Mobility for Teaching Purposes (STA):

The ERASMUS+ mobility program offers financial support to lecturers for a stay with teaching purposes at one of the partner universities in the Erasmus+ program. These stays may last between two days and two months (excluding travel time). The teaching load per stay is eight hours for the first week of the stay or a shorter stay. For each additional day of stay, the minimum number of hours is calculated proportionally. A combination of teaching (STA) and continuing education (STT) (see ERASMUS+ Scholarships) is also possible, in which case the teaching load is reduced to 4 hours per week. Guest lecturers ought to strengthen the European dimension of the host university through their stay, complement its teaching offer and impart their expertise to students who do not want to or cannot study abroad.

If possible, the development of joint study programs of the partner universities as well as the exchange of teaching content and methods should be considered.

Application deadlines STA

For a stay during the academic year 2022/23:

30.10.2022

Please inform the International Office of your intention (period and location) by email by the deadline mentioned above and forward the agreement of the receiving university as well as head of your unit. Applications received by October 30th will be given priority. However, it is also worthwhile to inquire after the deadline has passed. Any remaining funds will then be allocated according to the order in which applications are received.

Financial framework conditions STA

In this case, the travel receipts must be kept as proof of the actual place of arrival and departure. For more detailed information, please contact birgit.henn@h-brs.de.

Erasmus+ Staff Mobility for Training Purposes (STT):

The EU mobility program Erasmus+ also enables staff members of the university from the fields of technology and administration as well as scientific staff to receive financial support for further education and training measures in other European countries.
