Modeling and Simulation - equipment

In the research field of Modelling and Simulation many application examples of other TREE research groups are processed by computer-assisted simulation.

For this purpose, the university's very powerful computing cluster is used, which is the most powerful high-performance computing facilities at German universities of applied sciences (as of 2019). The most important technical facts are listed below:

  • approx. 5,300 hardware threads
  • approx. 48,000 GPU-cores
  • accumulated main memory size of approx. 16.5 TB
  • accumulated disk space of approx. 460 TB
