Short Overview of LEA

LEA  (abbr. for “Learning and working online”) is a software for the operation of an online platform which not only provides and preparates internet-based learning materials (for e-learning) but also establishes communication and cooperation between teachers and students as well as the conduct of exams and the implementation of didactic structures of whole courses.

Learning platforms integrate important functions for online-based teaching through a single interface. They support teachers in the creation of leaning units – from simple texts to multimedia-based documents – as well as students who benefit from multiple functions in order to individually acquire knowledge on the given topics.

The system has a broad range of services which covers all key elements of learning platforms: 

Preparation of learning units, provision of study materials  

• Access control / Administration
• Communikation / Tutoring
• Monitoring of the learning process

The focus lies on tools by which in-class lectures can be complemented and supported appropriately and without significant expense.
