AWAKE Gruppenbild Kick-off 2024

Thursday 7 March 2024

On the road to success: the first cohort of the AWAKE start-up programme has started and the participants are now taking their first steps into the world of self-employment. The kick-off event on 1 March 2024 offered the female founders the opportunity to get to know each other and exchange initial ideas.

Exklusive programme for female founders

In the AWAKE programme, women who are willing to set up their own business receive comprehensive support for their start-up projects over a period of six months as part of an exclusive incubator programme. In addition to relevant start-up expertise, they benefit from personal support from a mentor and professional coaching. The participants also receive a three-month grant, which provides them with financial security so that they can concentrate fully on realising their start-up idea.

Outstanding women with exciting ideas

Ten participants were selected from a large number of applications and impressed the jury with their ideas. Due to the great interest and high quality of the applications, two further convincing applicants were included in the programme, who will not receive a scholarship but  be able to take part in the workshops. The cohort is made up of women from a wide range of backgrounds - from current students to alumni and employees. There is also a wide range of ideas from the participants: the projects cover everything from the development of apps to the creation of sustainable trading platforms.

Guidance and support from the Start-up-Manufaktur

The Start-up-Manufaktur team accompanies the participants through the six-month programme and provides personal support to ensure that each participant gets the most out of their time on the programme. The team is looking forward to a successful and inspiring time with the participants and will be happy to answer any further questions and provide information.

AWAKE is funded by the EXIST Women programme of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection.
