Lecture Series: The Media Makers 2023/24

Technikkommunikation Teasercut (DE)
The professional world in the media sector is changing rapidly as a result of the digital transformation: Whether traditional business models, media production or competence requirements for employees - all of this is being put to the test in the digital age. The Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences has invited media professionals to a public lecture series, who will present their respective fields of work, but also describe the challenges and changes that digitalization is bringing to their professional field. The event will be held in German.

The series will take place from October 18, 2023 to January 17, 2024 in Sankt Augustin in lecture hall 7. Every Wednesday from 4:30 to 6 p.m., the Department of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Technical Journalism will host a guest speaker from the media sector. They come to the H-BRS at the invitation of Dr. Tanja Köhler, Professor of Digital Journalism and Audiovisual Media. In the lecture series "Zukunft Technikkommunikation" (Future of Technical Communication), the practitioners will present a different field of activity each week from an inside perspective and also discuss the career prospects for university graduates.

The lecture series is not only intended for students: It is of interest to anyone who wants to find out about media professions and how they are being changed by digitization.

External guests are requested to register at the e-mail address tanja.koehler@h-brs.de.
