Oxford Test of English

The next test dates are scheduled as follows:

Test dates as of June 2026 will soon be published on our website.

1. Please register online for a specific test date using the link to the registration form provided for each test date.
2. Please pay the test fee; you will find further information about the payment process in the invoice that you will receive by email.
3. Please create a test account on https://oxfordtestofenglish.oup.com/register?providerId=OTE.

Test takers are required to bring one of the following forms of photographic ID with them:

• National identity card
• Passport
• Driver’s license

Please note that this must be the same ID test takers use when registering their user account on the OTE platform.

The test fee for the OTE Advanced at H-BRS is €150. The test fee needs to be paid by bank transfer. Payment instructions are included in the invoice that you will receive by email.

The OTE takes place at Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg, Sankt Augustin Campus, Grantham-Allee 20, 53757 Sankt Augustin, rooms A 104 and A 108.

The OTE is endorsed and certified by the University of Oxford. It is recognized by a growing number of universities and employers around the world as proof of English language ability.

Results for the sections "Reading" and "Listening" are usually available on the same day as candidates take the test. Certificates with the overall result (including the results for the sections "Speaking" and "Writing") are typically available within 5 working days. Test takers can sign in to their OTE account to see their results and print out their certificates.

We recommend that test takers make themselves familiar with the format of the OTE and the different types of exercises to be completed in the test. Oxford University Press offers a range of resources such as free practice tests, free online preparation courses and tips for the speaking and writing sections.

Please note that the Language Centre at Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg does not offer any preparation courses for the OTE.

The OTE provides a range of help options for test takers with visual difficulties, hearing difficulties, learning difficulties or access needs.
