The b-it-bots@Home team was formed in 2008, when it participated in the RoboCup@Home league for the first time with the robot Johnny. In 2009, the team won both the German Open and the RoboCup World Championship with Johnny. Johnny was replaced by Jenny, a Care-O-bot 3, in 2011, which was used by the team since 2016. In 2018, the team acquired Lucy, a Toyota HSR, and started participating in the RoboCup@Home Domestic Standard Platform League. Lucy has been used by the team ever since.
