Access requirements and application Game Technologies (MSc)

We would be pleased to inform you here about access and application for the Master's degree programme Game Technologies (MSc).

Access requirements

The prerequisite for access to the Master's degree programme in Game Technologies is a relevant qualifying university degree (Bachelor's or Master's degree). A further requirement is sufficient skills with regard to concepts, methods and tools in the field of computer science, which must be demonstrated by a share of computer science of the qualifying degree of at least 90 ECTS credit points (about 50 %).

With a share of computer science of at least 120 ECTS credit points (about 67 %), the grade of the qualifying university degree must be minimum 3.0 according to the German grading system. With a share of computer science of at least 90 ECTS credit points (about 50 %), the grade of the qualifying university degree must be minimum 2.5 according to the German grading system. (See grade conversion tool below under "Links")

Admission is only possible if you have completed your qualifying degree by 30 September.

A current curriculum vitae (CV) and a self-written letter of motivation must be submitted with the application (see detailed requirements below under ‘Application documents’).

The teaching languages are English and German. In principle, all exams can be offered in English. No German language certificate is required.
English language skills must be at least level B2 (CEFR), see accepted proofs below under ‘Application documents’.

If all admission requirements are met, the selection committee will compile a qualified list based on the uploaded application documents. The first-ranked applicants will be admitted to the available places.

We appreciate your understanding not being able to evaluate your certificates beforehand.
