Artificial intelligence is fundamentally transforming university teaching and opening up new opportunities for teaching and learning.

Under the motto “AI-X-Change – Who’s teaching whom here?”, Teaching Day 2026 invites lecturers, students and anyone interested to come together to reflect on opportunities, challenges and new perspectives.

Call for Entries for the 2026 Teaching Awards

All H-BRS lecturers are invited to submit their innovative teaching concepts for a pitch at Teaching Day and for the 2026 Teaching Awards. Have you developed a teaching concept that inspires students or breaks new ground in teaching? Then submit your entry and showcase your ideas to the whole university.

All H-BRS lecturers are eligible to apply for one of the three Teaching Awards. Submissions are now open. The awards ceremony will take place on Teaching Day.

Submission deadline: 15 September 2026
Prize money: 3,000 euros

Background information on Teaching Day

Teaching Day has been held every two years since 2012 and offers lecturers and students at Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg a platform for exchange, networking and inspiration. The aim is to highlight good teaching, promote innovative ideas and jointly provide impetus for the further development of study programmes and teaching.
