Chancellor Angela Fischer's second term begins
Angela Fischer has been Chancellor since 2019 and was re-elected by the University Election Assembly last summer. She will remain in office until 31 March 2031.

IT security conference at the BMBF with contribution by Prof. Petra Haferkorn
From 17-19 March 2025, the IT Security Conference was held for the third time in Berlin at the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). The organisers created a productive working atmosphere that encouraged exchange between scientists from different disciplines. The topics covered were diverse and ranged from the question of the connection between democracy and security to technical presentations, for example on post-quantum cryptography.

UniStem Day 2025: Pupils learn about stem cell research
Microscoping, pipetting, analysing: Around 50 students were able to gain an insight into stem cell research at the UniStem Day at H-BRS. For the high school students from the region, it was the first time they were able to carry out experiments in a laboratory themselves.
