Lecture series: The media makers 2025/26

The professional world in the media industry is changing rapidly as a result of the digital transformation: whether traditional business models, media production or skills requirements for employees - everything is being put to the test in the digital age. Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences has invited media professionals to a public lecture series to present their respective fields of work and describe the challenges and changes that digitalisation is bringing to their professional field.

The series will take place from 15 October 2025 to 14 January 2026 in lecture hall 7 in Sankt Augustin. Every Wednesday from 4.30 to 6 p.m., the Department of Engineering and Communication will host a guest speaker from the media sector. They come to H-BRS at the invitation of Dr Tanja Köhler, Professor of Digital Journalism and Audiovisual Media. In the lecture series "Die Medienmacher:innen", the practitioners will present a different field of activity from the inside every week and also discuss the career prospects for university graduates.

The lecture series is not just intended for students: it is of interest to anyone who wants to find out about media professions and how they are changing as a result of digitalisation.
