Lecturer of the MBA Programme appointed an honorary professor

Long-standing lecturer of the MBA in CSR & NGO Management program, bioethics expert and managing director of the German Reference Centre for Ethics in the Life Sciences at the University of Bonn, Mr. Dirk Lanzerath, has been appointed Honorary Professor at the Centre for Ethics and Responsibility (ZEV) at the Bonn-Rhine-Sieg University of Applied Sciences. University President Hartmut Ihne presented him with the certificate of appointment on Wednesday, 12 December 2018. We congratulate Mr. Lanzerath on his appointment and look forward to many more years with him in our MBA program.
Welcome week of our new MBA Batch of 2018

Willkommen – Bienvenue – Binevenit – Welcom – Aaiye – Huānyíng and a very warm "Welcome" to our new students of the MBA Programme "CSR & NGO Management" of the Batch 2018. On the 13th of September, we were pleased to welcome 16 new students from 3 continents and 11 different countries to our MBA program at our campus in Sankt Augustin. This broad diversity of the students’ academic and professional backgrounds is one of the main characteristics of the MBA program "CSR & NGO Management" and contributes to a unique and intercultural learning experience. We wish all the students of the batch 2018 a wonderful and exciting time in Bonn and a successful study experience at the Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg.

MBA Students on a 5-days excursion tour in Berlin with focus on"Lobbying and Advocacy of NGOs in the Capital"

Berlin, 25.-29. June 2018 - Under the guiding theme "Lobby and Advocacy of NGOs in the Capital - Protagonists, Instruments and Methods" students of the MBA in CSR & NGO Management Program at Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University attended an extracurricular excursion to Berlin. During the five-day program, the group of international students gained a comprehensive insight into the field of lobby work of various organizations and institutions right in the center of Germany's political and NGO headquarters. The trip was a great success and a brilliant experience for the MBA students and is planned to make this excursion a biennially integral part of the MBA program.

Alumni Day 2018 - MBA Alumni back on Campus!

On the occasion of this year´s Alumni Day 2018 the team of the MBA programme “CSR & NGO Management” proudly welcomed four of their graduates back on campus on April 27th. Unlike before, this time our Alumni sat on the other side of the classroom as they´ve been part of the Alumni Day programme sessions for international students at Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University. In open Q&A Sessions, Lana Djurkin-König (Croatia), David Elema, Enrique Trejo (Mexico) and Olga Florentyna-Schneider (Russian-Indonesian) talked about their career and shared their experiences German labour market as Non-German graduates. Interested students have had the opportunity to ask questions and of course, our Alumni were happy to provide valuable information and advice to current juniors about how to prepare for the job market, what particularly to consider in the application process and how to identify your own “USP” and how to promote it in the job searching process.

Lecturer of the MBA Programme is new CSR Ambassador

We are happy to announce that Mr. Winfried Polte, a long-standing lecturer of our MBA Program and our University, has been appointed by the CSR Competence Centre (CSR Kompetenzzentrum) to be the new CSR Ambassador in the field of CSR and Sustainability. Thank to his many years of professional experience, the committee decided to nominate Mr. Polte to be the right person for this reputable position in t...he Rhineland Area.

MBA Students on a site visit at Welthungerhilfe Bonn

A Group of our MBA-Students visited the "Welthungerhilfe" (Action Against Hunger) in Bonn, which is one of Germany’s largest private aid organizations, working towards the realization of the UN SDGs in line with the Agenda 2030. The primary focus of the NGO is Goal No.1: No Poverty and Goal No.2: No Hunger.
Ms. Kerstin Bandsom, responsible for internal and external communication at "Welthungerhilfe", welcomed our students and provided them an insight into the different areas of the organizations daily work with their main focal points. Furthermore, Ms. Bandsom shared her experiences on projects and their Impact with our students.
Aadhya, Ahmed, Disha, Mariam, Natascha, and Sandra Katherine appreciated the interactive and highly informative session, which was followed by some career guidance about the work in the NGO Sector. We´d like to thank the Welthungerhilfe for the Invitation and providing our students the great chance to look "behind the curtain" of the Welthungerhilfe Bonn.
