The exchange program

A two-semester stay at University of Dundee gives students the chance to take part in our double degree program and to graduate not only with our degree but also with a Bachelor of Honours of University of Dundee. Your studies in Dundee will be concentrating on lab work (~2.5 days a week) and literature. Nonetheless you still have elected courses, eight in total, throughout the whole year, which will also include coursework such as literature analysis and essay writing, to promote independent scientific thinking. The degree

Three different degrees (all BSc Hons) are available, allowing students to specialize in Biochemistry, Genetics or Molecular Biology.

To qualify for the exchange program with University of Dundee you have to ...

have passed all modules and courses of the first and second semester successfully with a GPA < 1.75 and have passed our English courses or were considered fluent enough to choose a different language. The final admission is based on your performance during the 3rd and 4th semester!

University facts

The university is located in the heart of the historic city of Dundee and within its cultural quarter, which is home to cafes, galleries, pubs and gift shops. While the UoD became an independent university in 1967, its origins date back to 1881.

Things to consider

  • Teaching is in English.
  • University of Dundee accepts 5 students, given that at time of application (November each year) their GPA is lower than or equal to 1.75.
  • There are tuition fees. Over the last years a fee-waiver has been given to our students, you are, however, not automatically entitled to that.
