"Alumni-Tag" on 27 April 2018

All graduates are invited to the second alumni day of the H-BRS. The event features networking, workshops and exchange of experiences. In the evening informal get-together. Please pass it on!

  • Morning | Special Workshops
    - Meet the docs - Doing a Doctorate at the H-BRS. Speaker: Matias Valdenegro, Moderation: Prof. Dr.-Ing. Rainer Herpers, Dr. Barbara Hillen (10.30-12.30 h | G 105)
    - Negotiation Workshop (held in German, no problem communication in English)  Speaker: Dr. Christian Kühl (9.30-12.30 h | B 120 - no more participants accepted)
    - Meeting Alumni of 2+2 Programme (in German. With Cuitin Zhu, Jia Liu (SinoJobs) and Prof. Dr. Jürgen Bode Moderated by Karsten Heinrich) (9.30-13.30 h | A 102)
    - International Career Panel (Alumni Role Models share experience).

  • 3.30 p.m. | Workshop-Session

Workshops offered by the Departments. Every workshop is open to everyone.

​=> Business Behaviour expert Gabriele Schlegel advises on the sovereign use of body language at the job | Prof. Dr. Dirk Uwer about the legal framework and economic consequences of Brexit (offered by the Department of Management Sciences. Moderation: Prof. Dr. Maike Rieve-Nagel | 3:30 | E 146 | in German).

=> Tobias Hagemann, Co-founder & CEO Skymatic UG, shares how a good IT idea turned into a company. Prof. Dr. Thorsten Bonne will contribut founder's expertise (offered by the Department of Computer Science | 3:30 | A 102 | in German and English)

​=>  Thomas Schramm, Coordinator DGUV job in Berlin, on the current topic of Labour 4.0 and the challenges for statutory accident insurance, also with a view to rehabilitation management. Then: World Café "Labor 4.0" (offered by the Department of Social Policy and Social Security. Moderation: Prof. Dr. Susanne Peters-Lange, Vincenzo Cusumano | 3:30 | G 105).

  • 5.30 p.m.: Get-together (Mensa)
Additional offers
  • Alumni Lounge: Infopoint, Merchandising, information from the University and about social initiatives of Alumni, guarded cloakroom, drinks... for talking and coffee in between (main building, area C staircase ground floor)
  • Kicker-Tournament international: Play football in mixed international teams! At least two nations must be represented per match. The Respect! initiative invites and awards prizes. (1-1.50 pm; 5.30-7 pm, Kicker Area in the "Hochschulstraße")
  • Gig "Night Angel" - 4 generations from the Department of Computer Science (in the evening)
