Applied Biology (BSc)

Our English language Applied Biology bachelor’s degree (BSc) at the H-BRS focuses on the modern disciplines in biology: cell culture, immunology and genetic engineering. The emphasis of the degree course is on clinical research, active agent development and quality assurance and offers the ideal basis for a career in industry and research.

Chemistry with Materials Science (BSc)

Our bachelor's degree in Chemistry with Materials Science (BSc) combines research-oriented study of chemistry with technology- and application-oriented materials engineering. You learn and study in the Applied Sciences field in an inspiring work environment, with the latest work methods and using state of the art techniques and analysis equipment.

Forensic Sciences (BSc)

The degree programme teaches skills in forensic analytics with a focus on chemistry, materials science and biology. The natural sciences training is supplemented by criminological work at the crime scene, the law and quality assurance.

Master Programmes

Analytical Chemistry and Quality Assurance (MSc)

The study programme covers the fields of safety and security research, in particular with respect to food, medication, the environment and chemicals. It also provides students with methodological skills in the areas of instrumental analytics for chemistry and biology. Lecture languages: 50% German, 50% English.

Biomedical Sciences (MSc)

This Master‘s programme offers a broad scope of in-depth insights in the biomedical field. In particular, the programme covers research topics from biomedicine, pharmacology, human genetics, neurobiology, immunology and physiology. Furthermore, applied topics such as toxicology, drug development, clinical research and regulatory affairs are also part of the curriculum. This degree programme is taught in the English language.

Materials Science and Sustainability Methods (MSc)

The study programme covers the fields of materials science and technical sustainability. It also provides students with methodological skills in the areas of materials development, processing and analysis plus the fields of sustainability aspects as efficient materials, life cycle assessment, conservation of resources and renewables.
