Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg brings academic insights to business, society and the public sector – through partnerships, innovation and the active exchange of knowledge.

At Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg, scholarship does not end in the lecture theatre or laboratory. As a university of applied sciences, we regard knowledge transfer as our core mission: we put scientific findings into practice and, together with partners from industry, society and the public sector, develop solutions to the challenges of today and tomorrow.

For us, knowledge transfer means more than simply the exchange of knowledge. It thrives on collaboration, new perspectives and the joint development of innovations. That is why H-BRS is involved in a wide range of knowledge transfer activities – from research collaborations and academic continuing education, through start-up support and regional networking, to securing a skilled workforce.

The central point of contact for knowledge and technology transfer is the Centre for Science and Technology Transfer (ZWT). Acting as an interface between the university and external partners, the ZWT helps to foster collaborations, launch research projects and drive innovation forward together.

The Innovation and Stakeholder Management and Research Funding teams support researchers and external partners from the initial idea through to successful implementation – from networking and project development to applying for public funding.
