The state-of-the-art genomics facilities at IFGA are open for scientific collaborations with other universities and industry in a wide range of research areas. IFGA’s genomics facilities are run as a combined effort of IFGA’s members. Expertise accumulated at IFGA in areas of metagenomics, clinical research, forensics and bioinformatics allows offering collaboration opportunities and various services.

Microbiomics/Microbiology

Clinical research

  • Identification and analysis of genetic determinants of neurodegenerative diseases, such as Parkinson disease

  • Amplicon NGS of eukaryotic genes (multiplex PCR and long range PCR)
  • Preparation of NGS libraries for variety of applications, also as high-throughput
  • STR analysis by NGS and capillary electrophoresis
  • Whole genome sequencing (small genomes, such as bacterial)
  • Targeted RNA sequencing
  • Bioinformatic analysis of NGS sequence data via in-house workflows
