Prof. Dr - Ing. Thomas Djotio
Thomas Djotio Ndie is Associate Professor, Dr-Eng at the University of Yaoundé 1 (UY1), and the Scientific Team Leader of MASECNESS Research Team Project of LIRIMA, an INRIA's International LAB. His main research fields include Applied Wireless Mesh Networks, Open Wireless Access for Developing Countries (OWA4DC), Network management and configuration, Network Intrusion Management. As a 2015’s Alexander von Humboldt Fellow, he is hosted by Prof, Dr-Ing Karl Jonas of University Bonn-Rhein-Sieg (HBRS) and currently working on the WiABox project, a multiband wireless access technology to be coupled to WiBACK technology for wireless backhaul access designed by Fraunhofer Fokus and compatibles. He is also striking ideas with colleagues of setting a sustainable research cooperation framework between German and Cameroonian Universities starting with UY1 and HBRS. Since 1997, Thomas worked as Software Developer, System and Network Administrator, Freelance and Entrepreneur. He is also Guest Professor at the AUTM (African University of Technology and Management) at Cotonou in Benin, author of the software kit Suite Manager (since 2004), MCP, CCNA and Security+ certified. Prof Thomas Djotio main taught courses are Operating systems, Network technologies, Network Administration and Network security.
