Coscine - Storage platform for research data
The research services of the library now offer researchers a new tool for the secure storage of research data.Coscine stores data from research projects in accordance with the FAIR principles. Coscine offers structured storage with metadata management, collaborative cooperation, and long-term storage for research data.

Intercultural Media and Culture in Context: An Expert Guest Lecture
The course “Media & Culture” taught by Eileen Küpper (Language Centre) for the Department of Engineering and Communication, explores how media cultures are shaped by differing value systems, communication styles and power relations etc. Drawing on a range of intercultural approaches, the seminar encourages students to examine how perspectives are formed, how misunderstandings emerge in cross-cultural interactions, and how media both reflects and reinforces cultural norms. Central to the course is a strong emphasis on self-reflection, inviting students to critically engage with their own cultural positioning and interpretive frameworks.

Fit for Future: Gesundheitstag am Campus Hennef
Am 12. Januar 2026 gestalteten der Fachbereich Sozialpolitik und Soziale Sicherung der Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg (H-BRS) und die Hochschule der Deutschen Gesetzlichen Unfallversicherung (HGU) gemeinsam den Gesundheitstag „Fit for Future“ am Campus Hennef. Die Veranstaltung bot Auszubildenden und Studierenden vielfältige Einblicke in gesundheitsbezogene Themen und präventive Angebote.
