Professor Klaus ter Horst was appointed Professor of Production Management, Investment Management and Finance at the Fachhochschule Köln when it was founded in October 1971. From 1995 until his retirement in 2010, he was at the Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences, where he was initially Dean of the Department of Management Sciences in Sankt Augustin. He wrote textbooks and articles in anthologies on investment and financial controlling. He was particularly interested in the further development of project studies and business simulation. For many years, he worked as a lecturer and coach in university didactic training (hdw nrw).
