Our Media Lab is a service available to all members of our university and our library who want to create their own media projects. Bring your creative ideas to life with professional equipment and the right software for image, audio, and video.

Your studio for photography, video, podcasts, and more

Whether you want to shoot videos or photos in front of a professional studio backdrop, record your own podcasts, or edit images, you’ll find the right equipment and professional tools for your project in our Media Lab. A space that invites you to experiment and offers many possibilities.

The perfect backdrop for your ideas

Want to shoot professional photos or videos? Our studio offers high-quality colored paper backdrops—ideal for different formats and creative concepts. They provide an even, low-reflection look and can be adjusted flexibly to suit each shoot, helping you achieve professional results quickly and easily.

High-quality audio recordings without extensive technical know-how

Thinking about a voiceover for your film, a podcast, or another audio project? You can do it without much technical expertise. The recording station is ready to use right away: switch on the microphone, hit record, start speaking. Interviews or conversations with multiple people are easy to set up as well.

Creative post-production with our iMac

An iMac is available for the post-production of your media projects. Use professional applications from Adobe Creative Cloud such as Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Illustrator—ideal for image editing, video editing, and animation.

In addition, programs such as Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, and Audacity are installed, enabling you to create e-learning content or edit audio.

Would you like to use the Media Lab?

After registering in advance by email to videolab@h-brs.de, you can reserve the room Monday to Friday between 10:00–12:00 and 14:00–16:00. Appointments outside these core hours can be arranged in advance via email. Please indicate which project you plan to work on so we can prepare the equipment accordingly.

OBRS: Professional videos with minimal effort

Would you like to record simple videos and get started right away? Our One Button Recording Studio is a great choice. It is a fully automated studio that you can use without technical assistance to record teaching videos under professional conditions.

Media equipment available to borrow at the videoLAB

For mobile video or audio production, we offer a range of media equipment. With one of our production backpacks—complete with camera, tripod, and a wireless microphone kit—you’ll be well equipped for your shoot. We also provide suitable equipment for hybrid events.
