Young students from Rhein-Sieg Gymnasium impress in the Computer Science department
Three of the early-entry students attended the ‘Programming 1’ course in their first semester. Two of them sat the exam and achieved excellent grades: one scored 1.3 and the other the top mark of 1.0. This result is particularly remarkable, as only around half of the regular students pass the exam, and very few achieve top marks. Out of a total of 120 participants, the grade 1.0 was awarded only four times. Without the participation of the young students, there would have been just three.
A further three young students took part in the ‘Introduction to Web Engineering’ course in the fifth semester. Here, too, a strong result was achieved: one student successfully passed the exam with a grade of 1.3.
At the same time, the committed participants are a great asset to the university and contribute to a vibrant, performance-oriented study environment.
The young students are supervised by André Kless, a lecturer for special assignments in the Department of Computer Science.
