Fees & living costs

Semester contribution

Supplementary to the regular tuition fees at Hunan University, students have to cover additional costs in year one and two. The exact fees will be communicated before the start of the study year. Students do not have to pay university tuition fees at BRSU in the years three and four, but each semester a small contribution fee has to be made.

Current Semester contribution.

The Semester contribution fee covers the cost of the following:

  • Social service contribution for the Studentenwerk Bonn
  • SemesterTicket (VRS)
  • NRW-Ticket
  • Student's Union fee

The Semester Ticket serves as a travel pass, entitling students to the free use of all train and bus services of the local public transport in the state of North Rhine Westphalia.

“I could travel all around the state of North Rhine Westphalia for free by using my Semester Ticket. So I was able to see a lot of exciting places I would not have seen if I had to pay for travelling. I really could explore Germany by this.”

Living costs

Living costs are estimated to be approximately 700 € per month. This includes accommodation, food, living expenses, semester contribution, health insurance and social life. Actual costs, of course, depend on your individual circumstances.
