Applying for admission
Access to the bachelor's degree programme

An overview of all access options for a Bachelor's degree programme at the Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg can be found in the "related links" section.
Upon application, German applicants with foreign educational certificates shall be certified as qualified to study at universities in the Federal Republic of Germany if these educational certificates have been recognized in a recognition procedure as equivalent to a German certificate of general or subject-specific higher education entrance qualification. In principle, this requires passing a recognition examination.
Recognition is granted by the competent authority of the state (Ministry of Culture and Science (MKW) for which the certificate holder has proven his habitual residence. A certificate holder who has no habitual residence in the Federal Republic of Germany shall address the application for recognition to the Düsseldorf District Government.
For more information on certificate recognition, see the "Related Links" section.
Applicants who have not acquired their educational certificates at a German-speaking educational institution must have the required knowledge of the German language. For all German-language and bilingual degree programmes, proof of the required German language skills is provided by passing the German Language Examination (DSH 2) or an equivalent examination in accordance with the DSH examination regulations.
