You can gain international experience at our university. You will learn languages, work on joint projects with students from all over the world or spend your internship semester in a company or at one of our partner universities abroad.

English language skills and courses

English is a compulsory subject in almost all German-language Bachelor's degree programmes at H-BRS and is also an important prerequisite for successful study due to its importance as a language of instruction, language of specialist literature and common language of communication. For this reason, a good knowledge of English is required, namely at least level B1, in some degree programmes even level B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

👉The Language Centre conducts an English placement test at the start of the degree programme, which enables students to be assigned to a semester group.
👉Pre-courses: If your English language skills are below level B1, you must attend compulsory preparatory courses.

Semester abroad

We maintain co-operations with partner universities all over the world. With attractive exchange programmes, H-BRS enables its students to spend one or two semesters abroad at partner universities.

International double degree programmes

Our department has also concluded double degree agreements with various universities, which enable you to obtain a double degree if you successfully complete the 5th and 6th semesters at the partner university.

International students

We are pleased to welcome a large number of international students who apply to study in our Department. If you have already been admitted to our university, you can register to take part in the Study Buddy Programme. The Welcome Centre can also help you with information on completing formalities, finding accommodation or scholarship opportunities. You can also take part in a cultural programme every semester.
