Normen-ABC (Alphabet of norms)
Prof. Paul R. Melcher (Department of Engineering and Communication) has recorded his video series "Normen-ABC" (english: alphabet of norms) in the One Button Recording Studio. The alphabetically sorted videos (each max. 3 minutes) from A as in "Arten von Normen" to Z as in "Zertifizierungsnormen" provide a compact overview of the most important standardisation topics and serve to convey basic knowledge of norms and competence of norms.
For all teachers who want to pass on knowledge of norms and standardisation, the videos and the PowerPoint slides on which the videos are based are also freely available for download as Open Educational Resources (OER) on the state portal ORCA.nrw.
Tipps zum Wissenschaftlichen Arbeiten (Tips for Scientific Work)
The video series "Tipps zum Wissenschaftlichen Arbeiten" (english: "Tips for academic work") was designed by Vera Fuchsgruber, Christina Kaiser, Manon Hafeneger and Anna Nick (e-learning team and library) to accompany and provide self-learning material for courses on academic work in the library. The videos convey knowledge on the topics of "research", "structuring", "source evaluation" and "bibliography". These correspond to general guidelines and may deviate from the individual guidelines of the departments. Further videos are being planned and will be implemented in the near future.
