Biowaste
Soil raw materials
With the separate collection of biowaste, organic substances and nutrients are also fed into the circular economy. Biowaste produces valuable compost and fermentation residues. These are used as organic fertiliser.
This belongs in the organic waste:
- Vegetable and fruit peelings
- Vegetable and fruit scraps
- Tea bags
- Coffee grounds
- Food and meat scraps (wrapped in paper)
- Egg shells
- Flowers
- Leaves
- Lawn clippings and small branches
- Sawdust (untreated),
- Hair and feathers
- Small animal bedding (plant-based)
- Wood shavings (barbecue ash)
This does not belong in the organic waste:
- Plastic bags (not even biodegradable ones)
- Remaining waste
- Textiles
- Briquette ashes, hard coal ashes, lignite ashes
